Nefeli Kavouras

Nefeli Kavouras studied cultural studies in Lüneburg. She works for mairisch Verlag, curates the literary programme for altonale, and regularly hosts readings. She has initiated and organised several literary festivals, such as the culinary literature festival SORBET. In 2025, she read at the “49. Tagen der deutschsprachigen Literatur” (“49th Days of German-Language Literature”) in Klagenfurt at the invitation of Laura de Weck. Her debut novel, “Gelb, auch ein schöner Gedanke” (“Yellow – Also a Lovely Idea”), was published in 2026 by Kiepenheuer&Witsch and was nominated for the lit.cologne Debut Prize. In 2026, she was awarded a working grant by the City of Hamburg to work on her second novel.
