Aoife Lavery is a music publicist, client relations lead and artist whose work sits across electronic music, independent culture and the communities that surround them. Currently Senior Publicist & Client Relations Partner at Neighbourhood PR, she leads campaigns and develops long-term communications strategies for artists, labels, venues and cultural organisations, with a particular focus on building narratives that extend beyond traditional music publicity.

Her career in music began outside of PR, working across events, promotion and label management before moving into communications. Since then, she has worked across independent agencies and international campaigns, developing a practice rooted as much in understanding scenes and the people within them as in media relations. Having spent four years living and working in Berlin, her work has become particularly embedded within European electronic music and club culture. Today, her projects span emerging artists through to established cultural institutions, including work with Tresor and Bridges for Music.

Alongside her career in communications, Aoife is an active DJ and artist performing as AOIFE. Emerging from Belfast and shaped by several years within Berlin’s electronic music community, she has performed at institutions including Tresor, FOLD, Watergate and AVA Festival, as well as Bossa Nova Civic Club in New York, with radio appearances across Rinse FM and NTS and a number of releases on labels including Incense & Encrypted. She has also worked on artist-led programming and curation, including Tresor’s New Faces series.

Working simultaneously within the industry and as an artist has shaped Aoife’s approach to both. Her work is grounded in an understanding that music careers are built through more than visibility alone: through community, cultural context, relationships and the infrastructure that allows artists and scenes to develop over time.
