
Björn Mathes
Björn Mathes has been active in the music industry for more than 30 years, holding senior marketing positions at Warner Music, MCA/Universal, Mercury Records and edel music. He has worked with international artists including AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Aqua, Dream Theater, Natalie Cole, Mary J. Blige, Matchbox Twenty and En Vogue.
As founder of the online platform Virtual Volume, he was one of the pioneers of digital music marketing in Germany. In 2006, he co-founded the label FerryHouse with media entrepreneur Frank Otto, focusing on developing emerging artists and shaping numerous careers.
He is also co-founder and managing director of Hotelbar Publishing, which represents, among others, publishing rights for Tokio Hotel.
In 2023, he founded creator agency weLike, helping brands develop tailored creator campaigns. Through weLike Music, the agency connects songs with relevant TikTok and Instagram creators to increase visibility, reach target audiences and drive sustainable organic growth.
