GWENDO

This date is in the past.

Born and raised in southern Germany, GWENDO discovered her passion for acting and singing at an early age. Encouraged by her mother, she transferred to a music-focused high school during her school years, where she deepened her musical education, studied dance and vocal performance, and gained her first stage experience as a musical theatre performer.

The stage has always been GWENDO’s home — both live and digitally. Platforms such as Vine, TikTok, and Instagram gave her the opportunity to share her creativity with a large audience and build a significant following as a content creator. Despite her success on social media, however, she never lost sight of her ultimate goal: music.

In early 2024, GWENDO assembled her core creative team. In August of the same year, they released her debut single, “bisschen naiv.”

From there, GWENDO began exploring a new musical direction. Today, her sound is inspired by the icons of her childhood — Rihanna, Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, and Britney Spears. Blending these influences with contemporary elements, she has developed a distinctive artistic identity that extends beyond her music into a unique visual aesthetic.

In late summer 2025, GWENDO’s relationship came to an unexpected and painful end. She found an emotional outlet in music, resulting in a series of songs written over the following months that feel like pages from a diary — intimate, vulnerable, and unfiltered. It soon became clear to her that an album was the only natural framework for bringing these songs together.

The biggest milestone of GWENDO’s career to date came with her collaboration with Berlin-based rapper Lacazette. Their joint track, “LOV,” reached No. 10 on the official German Singles Chart and spent several weeks at No. 1 on the Spotify charts, as well as topping the “Deutschrap Brandneu” playlist.
