Jamaica Moana

Jamaica Moana is a Sydney-based rapper, artist and leading voice in Australia’s ballroom community. Of Māori (Ngāpuhi and Tainui) and Samoan heritage, she brings queer identity, cultural connection and bold storytelling to music that moves between hip-hop and alternative pop. Her EP BUD & DENI showcases that range, while a 4-date India tour and appearances at Bangkok Music City, SXSW, The Great Escape and Reeperbahn reflect her growing international reach.

A leader in the Ballroom community and co-founder of The West Ball, Jamaica’s creative practice extends beyond the stage to creating spaces for expression and belonging. She brings an artist’s perspective to the realities of social media: navigating visibility, connecting with audiences and balancing the demands of content creation with the music and communities at the heart of her work.
