Lars Hendrik Beger

Lars Hendrik Beger is an editor and presenter at Deutschlandfunk. His work focuses on pop culture, cultural policy, and the question of what art and popular culture can tell us about society. He is particularly interested in how political conflicts, social change, and ideas of belonging are reflected in music, fashion, and everyday culture – and in how pop culture itself shapes public debate. His work examines both developments in cultural policy and the ways in which popular culture becomes politically charged. His areas of research also include the ways in which right-wing and New Right actors use pop culture to advance their political agendas.
