Lina Burghausen
Lina Burghausen is a music journalist, PR manager, and curator from Leipzig. As a hip-hop and music nerd since childhood, she is deeply rooted in the scene. She has been active as a music journalist since the age of 16. With her PR agency MONA LINA, she is supporting innovative musicians and their teams through press relations, consulting, and workshops since 2014.
Together with Alex Barbian, Lina Burghausen hosts the music business podcast Reeperbahn Festival Deep Dive, in which the two journalists shed light on current developments in the music business from multiple perspectives. Thanks to professional positions at labels, festivals, and in artist management, Lina herself knows the music industry, including its challenges and potential, from various angles.
An addition, as Senior Program Manager of the Most Wanted: Music conference, she shapes room for exchange and discussions related to the transformations of the global music scene.
With the founding of the blog project 365 Fe*male MCs and many other formats, she is committed to increasing the visibility of FLINTA* in rap and is now one of the most prominent voices for gender equality in the music industry.
Lina has been honored with the International Music Journalism Award, the VUT Indie Award, and the HYPE & Friends Award. She was part of the Keychange program 2020/2021.
