Ma­xi­mi­li­an Paproth

Maximilian Paproth founded his own music publishing company in 2001. He subsequently held positions at Budde Music (2003–2013)—working as a Synch Manager and A&R, and serving as Managing Director of Budde Music UK—as well as at Sony/ATV (2013–2018), where he most recently served as Head of A&R for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
In 2018, he joined Universal Music, initially as Senior Director A&R Central Europe. Most recently, as Vice President A&R Central Europe & International Marketing Germany, he oversaw cross-border creative exchange and the international export of German-language repertoire.
His professional background includes qualifications as a European Business Manager and training as a specialist in audiovisual media business.
Since January 2025, Max has returned to the publishing sector; as Managing Director & Global President A&R at Budde Music, he oversees the company’s creative direction in Germany and drives the expansion of international signings and strategic partnerships.
