Pamela Schobess

Pamela has been a club promoter in Berlin for over 25 years. Together with her partner Lars, she ran the Icon club in Prenzlauer Berg for 15 years. Forced out by gentrification, the couple have now been running the Gretchen (live) club in Kreuzberg since 2011.
Pamela is the political spokesperson on the executive board of the German Association of Music Venues LiveKomm, on the supervisory board of Initiative Musik and a member of the IHK plenary assembly.
From 2019 to 2022, she was chairwoman of Clubcommission Berlin.
She is a trained bank clerk, has a degree in communication, politics and film studies, and has long worked as a project manager in media development cooperation – mainly in Africa – alongside her club life.
