Yade Yasemine Önder

Yade Yasemin Önder is a writer. Her play “Kartonage” was invited to the Autor*innentheatertage (Author’s Theater at Deutsches Theater) Berlin in 2017 and premiered at the Burgtheater in Vienna. In 2018, she won the main prize for prose at open mike. Her debut novel “Wir wissen, wir könnten, und fallen synchron” (2022, KiWi) was awarded the lit.COLOGNE Debut Prize and the Nicolas Born Debut Prize, and was shortlisted for the ZDFaspekte Literature Prize. In 2023, she was awarded a creative writing grant by the German Literature Fund. In 2024, the collaborative novel “Wir kommen” was published, which she co-authored. In 2026, her play “Bu sözler bizim – Die Worte gehören uns” had its world premiere at the Schauspiel Leipzig theatre. Yade Yasemin Önders lives in Berlin.
