Keshia
While hoped-for social progress and political relaxation at all levels seem to have failed to materialise in the post-pandemic era, it is becoming increasingly important to maintain a minimum level of confidence. With her modern alternative pop, Keshia wants to set an example for the sovereignty of minorities, for empowerment and equality in a society of regression. She has been demonstrating her success in this endeavour track by track for years with singles such as ‘Fall Over’ (2021) and ‘Where I Wanna Be’ (2024). From her small home studio in St. Pauli, the queer DIY artist broadcasts a versatile electronic sound through the airwaves, opening up her very own atmospheric spaces that lie somewhere between house and breakbeats, drum’n’bass and wistful pop with UK garage elements. In preparation for her first major studio release this year, she has already released singles with the stirring emotionality of ‘Wie du gerade bist’ and ‘Bring mich nach Hause’ (2025). Keshia demonstrates a level of production quality and songwriting skills that others can only show after years of hard work. And she has already proven several times with performances at KRACH+GETÖSE and the Vogelball Festival that she can bring all this to the stage.
