LOUIS OTTLEY – Radical. Loud. Political. Black.

Louis Ottley is a German-British musician and the driving force behind a two-piece band project that is shaking up the German music scene with uncompromising energy and attitude. Their songs are loud, raw, and urgent – a mix of furious punk, funky grooves, and emotional depth. If you’re into Bilk, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, or Lambrini Girls, you’re in the right place.

With their debut EP “Capital” (Release: May 23, 2025), the band delivers a powerful first statement. Written by Louis Ottley and David-Elias Ehoulan and produced by Chris Reardon, the seven tracks deal with mental health, societal pressure, and the rage at a system that pushes people to their limits – and leaves them there.

But Louis Ottley is about more than music. The band’s mission is to create a radically inclusive punk scene, where everyone is welcome – especially BIPoC and queer people. Opening doors, showing vulnerability, taking a stand – that’s just as much part of their music as sweat, noise, and cathartic release.

As Krach+Getöse Award winners 2025, Louis Ottley are among the most exciting new acts in Hamburg’s scene. In the same year, they’ll be performing at festivals such as Dockville and Reeperbahn, proving what punk can be today: loud, political, and for everyone.
