Sandra Hesch has been confidently pursuing her own take on contemporary pop music with an inexhaustible repertoire of fresh ideas for over five years now. She takes her inspiration from her biography, from the everyday hustle and bustle of life, but also from her social and political awareness. Even if songs like “Blaues Kleid” (2023) or “LG, dein Zukunfts-Ich” (2024) reflect on personal experiences in almost diary-entry form, the young DIY artist has one thing in mind above all else: female empowerment. ‘Girls support girls!’ is the Austrian’s credo, and it’s already helped her reach and build a loyal fanbase in her home country. She is also involved in major campaigns against sexual abuse, raises awareness of the dangers of the nightlife scene, such as knockout drugs, and uses her platforms to campaign for women’s rights. Debunking taboos and confronting social issues on the thematic end, emotional electropop with a wide spectrum on the musical side - both characterise Sandra Hesch’s style.
