Cheeky and unconventional, sarah4k has been placing one track after another in playlists on all DSPs in recent years, often landing serious bangers. Born in Bremen and raised in the club, tracks such as ‘4klicious’ and ‘Auf Zelle’ (2024) work on multiple levels, be it with an urban bass massage for cruising in a Benz or with Eurotrance at a semi-legal rave away from the urban centres. Either way, the sound of the high-resolution Sarah kicks in a way that many thought was no longer possible. In light of her first full-length album, ‘Wavybaby Mixtape’, which was released last year, the revival of acidic trance bangers is already in full swing. But because it would be too easy to simply carry on like this for cash and the woman also has something else to say, this summer’s ‘Endstufe Tape’ (2025) is the ultimate fusion of Detroit electro, trap, and butt-lifted beat patterns in heart-pounding mode. Lyrics like socio-critical reflections on noise, a production channelled directly from the MPC time machine, vocals that lie somewhere between freaking out and dishing out – anyone who has seen sarah4k on stage will chalk this up as the new benchmark for whatever the scene is supposed to be.
