Bona_Berlin x Keychange | Shifting Perspectives
What perspectives shape our cultural landscape? Who is seen and heard – and who often remains invisible despite their creative achievements? For Keychange, equality means giving a platform precisely to those who are still under-represented in the music industry: women*, non-binary and trans people, and People of Colour (PoCs). With “Shifting Perspectives”, the initiative – in collaboration with street artist Bona_Berlin – presents an artistic installation that radically breaks away from ingrained gender stereotypes and showcases diversity in all its beauty. At its centre is a sculpture based on Jessica Louis’s distinctive key visual Keychange, which Bona_Berlin has translated into her own characteristic visual language. A break with rigid categories, a visual flow between binary genders: The installation combines different elements into a unified whole that brings to light the diversity of genders, identities, cultural backgrounds, and perspectives. It demonstrates the creative potential that arises when diversity is not merely taken into account, but also actively enabled and promoted.
