Why the music industry, can not (and should not) prevent change

Sustainability? Absolutely! As long as everything stays the same. We want the transformation, but without any actual change. While the younger generation demands climate justice, the industry often remains in a defensive mode, caught between fear of costs and convenience.

In this keynote, Frances Fox, Founder & UK Director of Climate Live / Intersectional Youth Climate Justice Activist, demonstrates how the industry can make the leap from a moral "having to" to an economic "wanting to". It delivers a reality check on why resistance is part of the process and why defending the status quo ultimately becomes more expensive than any transformation. Ultimately, this session shows why sustainability is no longer a moral add-on, and how leveraging younger generations as change agents ensures our industry's long-term relevance.
