Benjamin Asare has been dropping one uncompromisingly good banger after another in recent years and has become a sought-after multi-talent in the German music circus – and not just on his own. With songwriting credits for big names such as Bosse, Disarstar, Helene Fischer, and King LX, the Hamburg native has earned himself a reputation as a genuine production ace who smells the scent of upcoming hypes before anyone else. In the sweet haze that lies somewhere between Afrobeats and R’n’B, hip-hop and dub, Asare developed a signature sound under the alias BENSH47, which hit the local rap scene with singles such as ‘Nix verpassen’ (2019) and ‘Over’ (2024). So much so that dancehall legend Peter Fox finally got in touch and recorded several songs with him in 2023, including ‘Celebration’. However, Asare has by no means reached his zenith and is now prepping for new songs as BENSH47, with which he can once again tear up the stages of the republic.
