Out of the blue, Hank went viral a few years ago with his single “Nur ein Wort” (2022). The collaboration with Rowli, Sick & Tired, and Asterio also served as a springboard for the underground hustler to make it to the next level in the German rap scene. Success has since come in abundance – and not just because he went on to drop tracks such as “Wenn die Sonne scheint” (2023) and “Eislaufen 2k24” (2024), infusing his rap style with pumping techno beats or – alternatively – with a summery beach vibe. Rather, the young talent’s concerts have also quickly become the talk of the town and regularly sell out, no matter where in the country he takes to the stage. He’s releasing the EP “Teenage Tears” (2023) once again alongside his mate Rowli, and the title neatly sums up why his lyrics and tracks speak directly to the hearts of Gen Alpha – a generation that grew up amidst crises and wars and that is now finally claiming the right to seek out and find the good, true, beautiful life for themselves. It’s no wonder, then, that Hank’s latest singles, “mitternacht” and “gänsehaut” (2026) – with their wonky beats, wistful vocals, and deeply mature reflections on love and life – are striking a chord.
