Anchor - Reeperbahn Festival International Music Award
Since 2016, the Anchor - Reeperbahn Festival International Music Award has been an international accolade for up-and-coming musical talent. For fans and music industry professionals, Anchor serves as a guide in the search for the best new music—and for competition participants, it is a gateway to an international career.
Helga! Festival Award has been presented as part of the Reeperbahn Festival since 2013 and honors the best national festivals of the year.
Every year, a high-level, multi-member jury of experts honours the hottest, most creative, funniest and most flowery festivals in the nation in five different categories. All festival fans are also asked to be part of the jury and can vote for their favorite festival every year in the public voting.
In 2025, we will be awarding the IMJA for the eighth time in recognition of outstanding individual work, continued relevance, bold new formats, and journalistic personalities who set standards with their work. A special focus is placed on creatives under 30 who are helping to shape the journalism of tomorrow with fresh perspectives and new approaches.
