Future Fonds: Ein Instrument für eine nachhaltige Clubförderung
FUTURE FONDS is a funding programme developed by Clubkombinat Hamburg e.V. that supports clubs with staff cost subsidies to help them make their operations more sustainable. Following two successful funding rounds, the question now arises whether the programme can be realized for a third time in 2027/28 with funding from the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. While the feasibility of the proposed concepts is already being assessed in Hamburg, the panel will also look at Cologne, where this model of club funding has been adapted through the so-called "Climate Grants" (Klimastipendien) for Cologne music venues, with the first funding cycle there soon drawing to a close. Representatives from the BKM (Ministry of Culture and Media of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg), Clubkombinat, and representatives from Klubkomm and/or the ZUKUNFT FEIERN network will discuss their experiences so far, the impact of the programme, its prospects for a sustainable future of club culture, and the leverage effect that such funding can generate.
