Dr. Kerstin Bäcker is a specialist lawyer for copyright and media law at LAUSEN and has been working for years on adapting the copyright framework to new technical developments.
Bisseh Akamé – Director Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, Universal Music GmbH
Bisseh Akamé has been with Universal Music for over 27 years – from hip hop to classical, across various labels and genres. Until November 2023, she was Senior Director of Promotion & Label Communications at Deutsche Grammophon. Clarity, poise, resilience, and values-based dialogue are particularly important to her.
Dr. Richard Burgess – President & CEO, A2IM
Dr. Richard Burgess is President and CEO for the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) and has produced, recorded, and performed on many gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums. He was previously head of business at Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.
Maria Preuß – Freelance Culture Editor and Network Founder
Maria Preuß works as a freelance copywriter, editor, and journalist in Hamburg’s cultural and music scene. Her main areas of focus are women in music, socio- and city culture, and neurodiversity. In October 2024, she founded the NeNe Network for Neurodivergent Music Professionals to support them and raise awareness about neurodiversity.
