Connie Kau is a South African dancer and choreographer from Pretoria with more than two decades of experience on stage and in the studio. She trained in Ballroom, Latin American, Freestyle, and Rock and Roll dance before joining the renowned company Moving Into Dance in 1997, where she performed, choreographed, and taught until 2003. Connie later worked with the Tshwane Dance Theatre and in 2006 joined Disney’s The Lion King South Africa, touring internationally and continuing her long-term engagement with The Lion King in Hamburg. She has received multiple awards, including the FNB Dance Umbrella’s Most Outstanding Female Dancer and the MEC Phillip Steyn Young Choreographers Grant.
