
Doreen Nabwire
Doreen Nabwire Omondi is a pioneering figure in African women’s football, with extensive experience as a player, coach, administrator, and development advocate. She is the founder of Girls Unlimited, a community-based organization that empowers youth through sports, life skills, and gender equality initiatives.
Doreen served as the manager of Kenya’s national women’s team, the Harambee Starlets, leading them to their historic first qualification for the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations. She later became the Head of Women’s Football at the Football Kenya Federation (2016–2021) and currently serves as a FIFA Women’s Football Consultant.
From 2022 to 2024, she held dual roles as Head of Leagues & Competitions and Club Licensing Manager, further advancing football structures in Kenya.
