Zoulikha Tahar is an Algerian feminist, poet, slam artist, and self-taught videographer. She is a doctoral student in the Department of Materials Mechanics at Djillali Liabes University in Sidi-Bel-Abbès. Born in Oran, Tahar began writing in 2015 under the pseudonym Toute Fine. In 2017, she became known for her short film ‘La rue’ – made in collaboration with Sam MB – about street harassment. In 2017, with the support of the Institut Français in Oran, she published a collection of poems entitled ‘Presque Deux’ (‘Almost Two’) – a compilation of photos and texts from Toute Fine's first two years on social media. In the same year, Toute Fine adapted her collection for the stage performance ‘Autour de presque deux’ (‘Nearly Almost Two’) and performed for the first time in Paris at the Théâtre de la Nouvelle Seine and in 2018 at the Institut Français in Annaba. Together with Eddy Terki – a French-Algerian graphic designer – she created a performance/installation entitled ‘From Paris to Oran’ at the Institut du Monde Arabe that shows the challenge of establishing a connection between two cities with different cultures but a shared history. Toute Fine leads numerous writing workshops. She organises literary meetings, debates, and readings, mainly with a feminist focus.
