Since forming the band, Anja, Maria, Svenja, and Nino have travelled enormous distances, both artistically and physically. The solo tour for their debut album, ‘Coping Fantasies’ (2023), sent the quartet from Chemnitz across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. The dreamy indie pop – garnished with jangle and bedroom production values as well as with an irresistibly grooving rhythm section – has brought together a loyal fan community in just over two years, who cheer the four of them on, even when they play as backup for Kraftklub, Tocotronic, the Beatsteaks, or Leoniden. And yet songs such as ‘Heavenly’ and ‘Blue’ – which was released last year – also work far away from the big festival stages. Escaping the hustle and bustle of the world, somehow nostalgic and yet also very contemporary, the sound of Power Plush develops an auditory pull precisely when we allow ourselves to get involved with it in peace. With this year’s second album, ‘Love Language’, the group have now created a soundtrack for lovers, and they will be presenting it live on stage with us.
