The Emerging Room

Created by Music Business students at RMC in Copenhagen, The Emerging Room brings together emerging music industry professionals looking to build careers across borders.

The Emerging Room is a session about what it actually takes to build a career independently in music: navigating different markets, representing yourself, creating opportunities and understanding what the industry expects from the next generation.

The session opens with a moderated conversation between international music professionals, bringing first-hand perspective on building a career across borders without waiting for the traditional industry infrastructure to fall into place.

From there, the room opens up. Through a facilitated networking format, participants connect directly, share what they are working on and discover the knowledge, perspectives and opportunities already present in the room.

You will leave with not only with a couple new contacts, but a clearer picture of your international peer network and a better sense of how to engage with it.

The Emerging Room is for early-career music industry professionals looking to build international connections at Reeperbahn Festival.
