David Schlie­sing

David Schliesing (born 1983) studied theatre directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and worked for many years as a dramaturg. After teaching at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, he was an audio editor at the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt. Since 2025, he has been a member of the German Bundestag, chairman of the Committee for Culture and Media, and media policy spokesperson for The Left in the Bundestag.
