Eva Ries
Eva Ries is a German music manager, author, and executive producer.
After completing a photography apprenticeship and internships at record labels in Los Angeles, she began her music industry career at Geffen Records in Hamburg. There, she worked as label manager with artists such as Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith, Nirvana, and many others. In 1994, she joined legendary hip hop label Loud/RCA in New York City as international marketing and promotion manager. Her first project was launching Wu Tang Clan’s landmark album “36 Chambers” internationally.
For over 25 years, she worked in various capacities within the inner circle of Wu Tang Clan in the U.S.
As Vice President of International / Urban Music at Sony Music in NYC, Eva also collaborated with Nas.
She earned a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and is a national certified counselor (NCC).
Back in Mannheim, she ran RZA Productions Europe and taught psychology at a private university.
Based on her successful book WU TANG IS FOREVER (Benevento Publishing), she is currently producing the autobiographical hip-hop documentary Evil E. for ARD.
In addition, Eva is music manager for the Elevator Boys and rock band Cosmodrome.
